Service 01 · Corrosion-resistant lining

Protection designed around the actual exposure condition.

Chemisight develops corrosion-resistant lining systems for structures, equipment and containment areas where the complete build-up must respond to the actual substrate, exposure, temperature and service life.

What this service covers

From substrate assessment to the completed protective build-up.

Corrosion-resistant lining is not simply the application of a chemical-resistant material. Long-term performance depends on the compatibility of the complete build-up: substrate preparation, primer or membrane, bedding layer, lining material, jointing system, curing and workmanship.

The build-up is evaluated for new construction, replacement of failed lining, localised repair, refurbishment and application-specific upgrades.

System compatibilityPerformance depends on how every layer, joint and interface works together.

System selection note

The final system depends on the chemical exposure, concentration, temperature, substrate, movement, traffic, abrasion, available shutdown and expected service life.

Where the systems are applied

Protective lining for structures and equipment exposed to demanding service conditions.

Applications vary widely in geometry, exposure and operating requirements. The lining build-up must therefore respond to the actual asset and not merely the broad industry category.

01

Tanks, vessels and reactors

Internal and external protective systems, refurbishment and replacement of existing lining.

02

Pits, sumps, drains and trenches

Containment surfaces exposed to liquids, chemicals, cleaning cycles and continuous moisture.

03

Floors and operating areas

Protective flooring, screeds and linings selected for exposure, traffic and functional requirements.

04

Equipment foundations and structural surfaces

Protection of concrete and steel substrates around critical equipment and process zones.

05

Effluent and containment structures

Lining for treatment areas, collection systems, channels and specialised containment applications.

Execution methodology

Performance is built through every stage of the work.

Hover over each stage to view the role it plays in the completed lining system.

01

Assess

Review exposure, substrate, drawings, operating conditions, failure history and project constraints.

02

Engineer

Select the system build-up, materials, thickness, detailing, joints and quality controls.

03

Prepare

Dismantle defective work where required and prepare concrete or steel to the specified condition.

04

Manufacture & supply

Produce or arrange compatible specialised materials with controlled batching and supply coordination.

05

Install

Execute primer, membrane, bedding, lining, jointing and detailing through trained site teams.

06

Inspect & hand over

Check workmanship, curing, thickness, continuity and specified quality parameters before completion.

System selection

The specification begins with the service condition.

A reliable recommendation requires more than a product name. The following inputs help determine the complete system.

ExposureChemical type, concentration, contact duration and cleaning media
TemperatureNormal operating range, thermal cycling and peak conditions
SubstrateConcrete, steel, existing lining, moisture and surface condition
LoadingTraffic, abrasion, impact, hydrostatic pressure and structural movement
GeometryVertical surfaces, corners, nozzles, penetrations, joints and access limitations
ProgrammeShutdown period, curing time, sequencing and work-front availability
